Anam Cara Croft and The Spice Route

Anam Cara Croft is found on the Rhu peninsula in Loch Inchard. Located between Rhiconich and Kinlochbervie in North West Sutherland, we are a diversified coastal croft. We run The Spice Route where we teach you how to make authentic Indian and Sri-Lankan food using the finest spices.

We have  Soay sheep and rear rare breed pigs for meat. We use traditional crofting techniques such as the harvesting of seaweed and lazy beds combined with modern technology to facilitate year round horticulture in a polytunnel.

Our cookery business “The Spice Route”  has been featured on BBC Radio Scotland’s Kitchen Cafe and is listed on TripAdvisor,  see our reviews below.

Why not try our Regional Indian Cookery Courses which unlock the secrets of The Spice Route.

Our Croft Stay closed to visitors in October 2017 and we are not taking any further bookings to allow us time to redevelop our other businesses.
